Application & KYC

How to apply, documents required, and the verification process.

The application process is entirely digital: (1) Download the askrupee.com app or visit the website; (2) Register with your mobile number (OTP verification); (3) Complete your profile — personal, employment, and income details; (4) Complete KYC — Aadhaar-based eKYC and PAN verification; (5) Consent to a credit bureau pull; (6) Receive a loan offer with your personalised rate; (7) Review the Key Fact Statement carefully; (8) Accept the loan agreement digitally; (9) Receive funds in 2–4 hours. There is no branch visit, no physical paperwork, and no upfront fee.
The core KYC documents are: PAN card (mandatory for all applicants); Aadhaar card (for eKYC — your Aadhaar-linked mobile number must be active); active bank account statement (last 3 months, for income and repayment capacity assessment); salary slips (last 3 months, for salaried applicants). Self-employed applicants may be asked for business proof and income documents. All verification is done digitally — you do not need to physically submit any document.
Loan applications can be declined for several reasons: credit score below our minimum threshold; high Debt-to-Income ratio (existing EMIs consuming too large a share of your income); adverse credit history (defaults, NPA accounts, settled loans); income below our minimum requirement; KYC verification failure; or fraud/identity risk signals. Under RBI's Fair Practices Code, we are required to communicate the reason for rejection to you. You will receive a written communication with the primary reason. You may reapply after addressing the underlying issue.
Yes, partially. When you submit a loan application, we pull your credit bureau report — this is a 'hard enquiry' that is recorded on your CIBIL report and reduces your score by approximately 5–10 points. Hard enquiries remain on your report for 2 years. Checking your own score (on CIBIL, Experian, or a credit monitoring app) is a 'soft enquiry' and does not affect your score. We recommend not applying to multiple lenders simultaneously, as each application generates a separate hard enquiry.
In compliance with RBI's Digital Lending Guidelines 2022, Crestmont Capital provides a 3-day cooling-off period after loan disbursement for all loans with a tenure of 7 days or more. During this window, you can cancel the loan by repaying the principal plus interest accrued for the days outstanding. There is no additional cancellation charge. To exercise this right, email service@crestmontcapital.in within 3 days of disbursement, quoting your loan account number. The processing fee is non-refundable as it covers services already rendered.
Yes. All data transmitted between you and askrupee.com is encrypted using TLS 1.3. All data stored at rest is encrypted using AES-256. We only collect data that is necessary for credit assessment and KYC purposes — we do not access your phonebook, photos, or social media. We never share your data with third parties except as required for loan processing (credit bureaus, KYC verification partners) under signed Data Processing Agreements. Your rights under the DPDP Act 2023 apply in full.
Yes. Before you accept the loan agreement electronically, you can decline the offer at any time with no penalty — your credit report will not be impacted beyond the initial enquiry. After acceptance but before disbursement, contact service@crestmontcapital.in immediately within the same working day. We will make best efforts to halt the disbursement, though we cannot guarantee cancellation once the transfer instruction has been sent to the bank.
